Family owned and operated in Edmonton for 50 years, Vandenbergs Jewellers has been built on a passion for exceptional gemstones, unwavering integrity, and a commitment to people above all else. From a small shop in 1976 to one of Canada’s most respected independent jewellers, the journey has been defined by innovation, adventure, and a dedication to helping clients celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.

Vandenbergs is a unique jewellery experience. It’s really a blend of Old-World traditional craftsmanship, the newest technologies, and the finest selection of high-quality gems and jewellery.
From its humble beginnings selling costume jewellery from a single showcase inside a Candlelight Card Shop, to its first 500 sq ft store, and through five decades to their latest state of the art, award winning shop here in National Bank Centre (formerly Manulife Place), the story of Vandenbergs Jewellers has been shaped and crafted over the past 50 years by three generations of the Vandenberg family.
Throughout those five decades, Vandenbergs has forged a reputation for integrity and quality. Ralph Vandenberg, one of the founders of VJ, says, “A relationship with our clients has always been more important to us than a single sale. We are humbled by the loyalty of our clientele, as we now have the honour of working with the grandchildren of couples I served at the beginning of my career. Our motto has always been ‘everything that we do is intended to make someone happy’. And as long as we keep that in mind, in everything we do, we can’t go wrong.”

Whether buying from the showcase or creating your own custom piece, our clients have access to the expertise of 3 Graduate Gemologists, 5 Jewellery designers, 2 CAD designers, 3 goldsmiths, and 2 jewellery specialists.
You can also enjoy a tour of our in-store, state-of-the-art factory, where we walk you through the journey your custom piece will take. You can even watch our goldsmiths at their craft through the floor to ceiling glass as you work alongside your designer.
